Gioannin es un niño italiano de 6 años a principios de 1900. El sueña con su padre fuerte y maravilloso a quien nunca conoció, pues se perdió en el mar y nunca regresó. "El Rey de la Isla" es el segundo corto dirigido por Raimondo Della Calce y producido por Five Animation Studio. El proyecto fué financiado por artFive y la producción completa tomó 18 meses de trabajo. El mensaje de esta obra es que el soñar es importante para cada persona, pero tener el coraje de enfrentar la realidad y apreciarla a pesar de sus dificultades y decepciones es mucho más importante.

English Version

Gioannin is a 6 year old child who lives in Italy at the beginning of the 1900. He dreams of his strong and wonderful father he never knew, missed at sea and never returned.

'The king of the island' is the second short film directed by Raimondo Della Calce and produced by artFive animation studio. The film was financed by artFive. The whole production lasted 18 months. The main meaning of the movie is that dreaming is something very important for each person, but having the courage to face the reality and appreciate it despite its difficulties and disappointments, that is true life.
