What's New in SP1
finalRender R3 and R3 SE SP1 Enhancements
-
Physical Sky Texture map; an offset to the map has been reported and is now fixed, appearing with a visible physical sun in different map slots.
-
fR-Scatter had some reported issues with offsets from its base surface; these are now amended.
-
fR-Scatter in rare situations a crash was reported; this case has been isolated and now resolved.
-
finalRender's core accelerator engine (MSP) could have showed some intersection problems. They have been isolated and repaired in this release.
-
finalRender's core accelerator engine (MSP) has improved precision now and performs with greater stability in GI, Raytracing and other secondary effects.
-
finalRender's high performance MTD core showed some reported crashes on complex displacement setups. The issue has been isolated and resolved now.
-
Using finalRender's Scanline rendering accelerator could have resulted in crash situations when complex Multi-Sub materials were used. This problem has been isolated and is now corrected.
-
In some situations the Scanline rendering accelerator could have resulted in a crash with motion blur. The pflags are now amended, (as the array was too small sometimes).
-
fR-Wire material used along with the Scanline renderer accelerator is now aware of Multi-Sub material structures.
-
Instanced geometry is now working properly with Sub Surface Scattering.
-
fR-Light material may have shown artifacts in some situations; these have been isolated and the problem fixed for this release of finalRender.
-
Extremely long object names could have resulted in a crash; this problem has been isolated and now fixed.
-
finalRender's advanced Render Elements could have caused instability in rare situations; these have been isolated and the problem resolved in this relase of finalRender.
-
fR-Material RE showed some instability in rare situations; this has been amended in this release.
-
Dome light view port material is now updated for reflections or in the rendered image.
-
fR-Wire works now with Scanline rendering accelerator and GI.
-
fR-Wire supports now Scanline rendering accelerator along with fR-Layer.
-
fR-Light material and animated meshes are now working as expected.
-
finalRender's AQMC GI engine could have shown some issues with instanced objects and solution files; this problem has been isolated and amended in this release.
finalToon R3 SP1 Enhancements
-
finalToon's high performance line render engine has now added support for detecting line styles for any Multi-Sub material.
-
finalToon's hatching map has now increased precision to avoid possible instabilities.
- Several line styles could have shown flickering; this problem has been amended in this release of finalToon R3.
-
finalToon's line renderer algorithm could have shown missing or broken lines; this problem has now been fixed.
-
fT-Outline material now supports Multi-Sub material trees.
-
finalToon's advanced hatching algorithm showed some instability; the issue has been isolated and resolved in this release.
-
finalToon's advanced hatching algorithm could show wrong alpha values; this issue has been isolated and corrected in this release of finalToon.
-
finalTooon's advanced hatching texture map properly supports all tiling options that are available in 3ds Max.
